In low back pain, there is tissue damage, near tissue damage, infection or inflammation.
Inflammation is the body’s protective response to injury or infection, but when there are no foreign invaders to fight off, the immune system can damage its own tissues.
In many cases of chronic low back pain, it is therefore important to treat the immune function of the body.
