This test is best done with patients that have neck pain associated with:

• Vertigo or prolonged dizziness.
• Cardiovascular risk factors.
• Stroke risks.
• Risks for brainstem or cerebellum diseases.

The test differentiates central and peripheral vestibular dysfunctions.
